Purity alone proves nothing

Every vendor quotes 99%. Two things matter more.

Identity (MS)

HPLC measures how much. Mass spec confirms what. A vial can be 99% pure - of the wrong peptide.

🧫

Endotoxin

Bacterial fragments that survive sterile filtration and never show on HPLC. The most common cause of results you can't reproduce.

How to verify a COA

Three steps. Under 2 minutes.

Locate the laboratory Find the lab name on your COA and search it on Google. Visit their official website to confirm they are a real, established testing facility.

Enter the report code Every genuine COA carries a unique report number or accession code. Navigate to the lab's verification portal and enter that code to retrieve the original report.
3
Confirm the client information On the verified report, check that the vendor's company name, email address, or website is listed as the client. This confirms the certificate was issued specifically for that vendor.
💡 Good to know - Verification takes under 2 minutes. Reputable vendors will always encourage you to complete this process.

Red flags to watch for

What to check before trusting any COA.

No vendor details on the COA A genuine COA always carries the vendor's company name with at least their website or email address.

No photo of the vial A real COA includes a photo of the exact vial that was tested.

Lab cannot be found online Search the lab on Google. A legitimate lab has a verified website, address and contact details.

Lab website is brand new Check the lab's domain age at whois.com. Established labs have years of history online.

No ISO certification Every credible testing lab holds ISO certification. No certification means results cannot be verified.

COAs not published on website A trustworthy vendor publishes their COAs openly. If you cannot find them before ordering, reconsider.
