Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring neuropeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood by Monnier et al. in 1977. It has since become one of the most studied peptides in sleep biology, neuroendocrine regulation, and stress-response research.
